There are concrete roads to Haad Rin, but you have been warned that the concrete roads are not in the greatest condition and unless you are a good motorcycle rider then don't try to get to Had Rin, as most accidents involving motorbikes happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorbike at the 7-11 at Baan Tai and pay approx 50 Baht for a pickup over the mountains to Haad Rin. The island's climate is almost always beautiful. Nice weather days and a steady sea breeze nearly everyday. The best time for a visit, late December to late of March is the best vacation island weather. The south east part of Koh Phangan is the main party area which includes HadRin and the full moon party beach. Most of the area around HadRin is mountains making most of the beautiful sandy beaches unaccessable by road, the only way to get to them is by long tail boat from HadRin. A lot of people consider Phangan is just another heaven for budget traveler or young people enjoying the Fullmoon Party on Had Rin beach. But this is not so small and Fullmoon is only a small isolated part of Koh Phangan.
